Bhagwad Gita recommends a spiritual seeker to approach a Self realized person for the purpose of Liberation. Media controversies related to 'Babas' or 'Godman' should not confuse our minds.   An Ideal Situation There are hundreds of true practitioners on whom media does not focus because they don't create sensation and don't contribute to TRPs. What do the scriptures and widely respected gurus say on the subject?  We highlight some important aspects of the subject for the benefit of all. 1. QUALITIES OF A GURU A great saint Sri Roop Goswami one of the foremost disciples of Lord Chaitanya has left a few instructions for his successors.
